Our Returns Policy
We want you to be happy with your purchase! If you change your mind, you can return your item within 30 days, as long as it’s unused, in its original condition, and includes proof of purchase. We’ll offer a refund or exchange (excluding shipping and installation costs), provided it meets our return guidelines below.
What ‘Original Condition’ Means:
✔ The product is unused and can be resold at full price.
✔ All original packaging and labels are intact.
✔ The item contains no personal data and hasn't been registered to a user.
If Your Item Arrives Damaged
We take great care to ensure your order arrives safely. If your item is damaged on delivery, please let us know within 48 hours by emailing hello@peopleathome.co.uk so we can resolve it for you.
How to Return an Item
To return an item, please send it in its original packaging, along with proof of purchase (including your order number), to:

Important Notes:
- You are responsible for return shipping costs.
- We do not refund shipping fees.
- Please include your name and order number so we can process your return smoothly.
Returning Large Items (e.g., Chairs & Desks)
We understand that returning large items can be tricky. If you need assistance:
- Chairs: We can arrange collection for £49 + VAT. The chair must be disassembled and repacked in its original box.
- Desks: Contact us at hello@peopleathome.co.uk for a collection quote.
Items That Can’t Be Returned
Unfortunately, we can’t accept returns for:
- Items returned after 30 days
- Items without original packaging or labels
- Items that are used or in poor condition
- Items containing personal data or registered with a manufacturer
- Custom-made or made-to-order items (unless faulty).
Refund Process
Once we receive your return, we aim to process your refund within 48 hours to the same payment method used. However, the time it takes to appear in your account depends on your bank’s processing times.
Customised Items
Customised items (e.g., chairs with specific options you’ve selected) are made to order and cannot be returned or refunded, unless they are faulty or damaged in transit.
Faulty Products
If your item is faulty, we’ll arrange a replacement or refund. Please contact us within 24 hours of receipt at hello@peopleathome.co.uk, and we’ll take care of everything for you.
